How Illinois Handles Out-of-State Revocations

If you had your license revoked in another state and are now an Illinois resident, the Illinois Secretary of State may refuse to issue you an Illinois license until the out-of-state revocation has been resolved. Conversely, if your Illinois license is revoked, you may find it impossible to obtain a license in another state until the Illinois matter is cleared.
